The race to redesign what we now know as the "phone" is at a peak. Less than a year ago, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was primarily a "chatbot" capable of answering questions and providing information. However, AI has rapidly evolved into what Bill Gates envisions as an era of personal assistants: "In the near future, anyone online will be able to have a personal assistant powered by much more advanced artificial intelligence than current technology."

But how will this vision materialize? Hardware visionaries are already shaping this reality with innovative devices. Here are the three main options competing to be the first hardware to materialize this vision and earn a place in the market:

AI PIN: This device, launched by Humane on November 16, 2023, at a price of $800, promises to be a game-changer. Compact and efficient, the AI PIN can perform personalized assistance tasks, adaptive machine learning, and has the ability to interact with other smart devices, making it an ideal companion for everyday life.

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses: Meta, in collaboration with Ray-Ban, launched these sunglasses on October 17, 2023, priced at $450. These are not just a fashion accessory but also a powerful device that combines augmented reality and AI assistance, allowing users to interact with their environment more intuitively.

Rabbit R1: The newest but no less impressive, the Rabbit R1, launched by Rabbit on January 10, 2024, priced at $200, promises to revolutionize how we interact with our digital environment. With advanced voice recognition capabilities and an ergonomic design, this device aims to be a strong competitor in the market.

These advancements are not just technological; they represent a change in how we live, work, and communicate. These devices, beyond improving our productivity, have the potential to enrich our lives in ways we are just beginning to understand.

From my experience at CleverIT, I know that integrating emerging technologies is crucial. These devices represent the next step in that integration, offering exciting and challenging opportunities.

How do you imagine the future? Do you think these devices will replace phones as we know them?
